If it were me I'd pick the neo hybrid matte. Slim, protective, classy, and unique. Better then the commuter IMO, The commuter is more common.

I Have font doctor on my laptop macbook pro 17" 2.93 ghz 2duo latest os with updates.
I have been having problems with font doctor 7.7
I have at least 4 gigs of fonts on a drive.
Problem #1: Font doctor does not complete its task when I run the whole folder. Problem # 2 if I run font doctor on individual small folders within my font folder some font folders get complete repairs some folders do not ( lags on last task and does not complete).
Problem#3 does not complete task on organizing fonts if i try
Does anyone know of a good alternative to font repair and organization latest software?
I have to say, I've never experienced an issue with FontDoctor itself, it has come across problem fonts that it couldn't fix, but the app itself I've always found to be utterly bulletproof, and that's with 12GB of fonts.
Sounds more like the issue is with specific corrupt fonts rather than any inherent issue with the software.
Have you tried completely uninstalling and then reinstalling FontDoctor? That's always my first port of call when I hit a software problem of any kind.
Failing that, it might be worth trying a dedicated font manager like FontAgent Pro, FontExplorer X Pro or Suitcase Fusion. I used Suitcase for years and I found it to be solid (though some found it to be anything but), but I now use FontExplorer X Pro, all have the ability to detect and in some instances repair fonts on the fly, whilst also isolating problem fonts.
That might be the best way to approach it, try one manager, load all your fonts into it and organise them, any corrupt ones will be flagged when loading, and then isolate those fonts into specific folders that you can then run through FontDoctor separately (without the overhead of 4GB worth of fonts weighing FontDoctor down) and see how you go with that.
It really might be worth your time converting all your fonts into .otf formats using FontXChange though, I have and it's so much easier managing them rather than f'in' about with the archaic formats of old. Just a thought. ;)

...I am wondering if I will really see a difference in my day to day activities with at 2.0 Core i7 Quad.
...
I know that an i7 Quad is overkill for me
Answered your own question - well done!

Couldn't you just borrow a wired keyboard off a friend or perhaps borrow an old one from your work?
Do you have the Apple Wireless Keyboard or a 3rd party one?

Apple will probably update iPods with a slight tweak to their DRM, breaking any music people have downloaded from anyone other than Apple.

Can anyone recommend a cheap - but passable (hotmail and yahoo accounts don't work with this) email provider?
Why? I need a dummy account I can use in online signup forms so that all spammers send there, instead of my real account.
Boy, it'd be nice if DOTmac would provide something like this - a 'shadow' account.

If I were an MS shareholder, I would be OUTRAGED.
How much did they pay for that? To be fair, I don't recall if MS bought just VPC or all of Connectix, but it hardly matters!
That's got to be a giant pile of shareholder wealth pissed away in a half-assed attempt at being part of (read: smothering) the increasing popularity and utility of Apple.
I would really love to see the numbers on that boondogle.
The connectix deal wasn't a 'boondogle' at all - connectix had other products than VPC. MS Virtual Server is based on the code they got from connectix. The server virtualization market is absolutely huge compared to VPC's potential market. I'm sure to Microsoft, VPC was a drop in the bucket in terms of revenue, and if I were a shareholder, I'd be happy as hell that they dropped it.

for your consideration ...
Waiting for Apple to make refrigerators. (I want Apple to jump into the Samsung mindset - they would beat Samsung up). Right now, I think Samsung makes the best TVs and appliances, but if Apple introduced them, they would blow Samsung away.

Cablevision has a login for the iPad app to log into their network and watch LiveTV. But it looks for you to be on your home network for it to work. The VPN software requires a name and password to connect to the VPN server. That is the name and password I created in the instructions above.
I get 6Megs upload from home. Why is your so slow? That doesn't sound right. You have TW internet?
I checked with TW and that is the upload speed. If I had an alternative then I would switch.

I've always heard that the Zune was a good device, but Microsoft just did an abysmal job at marketing.
This is true. A lot of people are talking trash about the devices but I doubt anyone as ever used one. To me the UI was much more concise than the iPod, the hardware was very high quality (sound from the headphone port was far superior to what the iPod outputs) and the Zune Marketplace has a nice "recommended" music software. In the end, it was poor implementation and the Apple freight train that made the Zune fail.
I don't know why people are happy about this though. Do you really only want one music player in the market? No one wants a choice? How about competition? Competition is what drives companies to innovate. I really want some company to come out with a product that pushes Apple to an even higher level of innovation. So far no one has done it.
