I would take my iPod and Mac to the Apple store, but my warranty is out. It's been out for a long time too. And yes, I am using the Last.fm Scrobbler.
This is the likely source of your problem. The last.fm scrobbler doesn't deal particularly well larger libraries and larger capacity iPods. When you plug in your iPod the scrobbler will attempt to scrobble your plays from the iPod. While it does this, it completely freezes iTunes. If you open up Activity Monitor, you will see iTunes using 100% of your CPU resources on one of your cores. I have a 3 GHz MacPro and it freezes my iTunes for 2-5 minutes. iTunes is not multi-threaded, so it will only use one core/thread.
There is a temporary solution involving the deletion of one of the last.fm scrobbler logs. I'll see if I can find it. You could turn off iPod scrobbling, which will solve the problem. You may also want to try a different scrobbler. Unfortunately, it's probably an annoyance you'll have to live with if you want to scrobble.

A. Which version of Xcode?
B. What kind of file are you pasting into? .cpp, .mm, something else?
C. If you disable syntax coloring, does the problem disappear?
A) 3.2 (or whatever the latest on 3 is)
B) it is a relatively lengthy .cpp file
c) I am not sure, I will check that
How much free space available on the boot drive, and what size drvie, before the paste operation?
Some 40GB worth of space (getting to the point I need a new drive!)
If this is an issue with the syntax highlighter, then it wouldn't be this code per se, but the context in which the code is being inserted. I notice that it's really deeply indented (or at least for my style it is).
Yeah it is fairly nested unfortunately as a result of a lot of logic :(
It is possible that the use of "i" as an iterator was causing problems as this was nested in another larger loop using the variable "i" in an alternate iterator.
Maybe xcode just goes insane trying to track the variables if you do this? STill seems weird to lag that badly.

Does anyone know if they had any inventory today (Wednesday?
I'm wondering about tomorrow or Friday. With the International launch looming it seems that supply will be tight.

Three years ago: iPhone revenue = 10 % of Apple's revenue
Two years ago: iPhone revenue = 26% of Apple's revenue
Now: iPhone revenue = half of Apple's revenue
I think it's clear where Apple is going with iOS.

Bah, you have to register to view images? Sheesh. The site is never going to take off like that. I'd rather spend that time going to a decent Wallpaper site without the hassles of registration.
Yeah, yeah.. I'm lazy, I know.

If it was any other store I would say no but Apple are famously accommodating (and probably more so if you've just spent thousands on a Mac Pro).
Then again, if you can afford said thousands, just buy the bluetooth keyboard separately and keep the wired as a spare!

Apple should think realistically now about allowing legitimate Fairplay licensing.
Here in the UK, websites are being forced to use DRM by content providers. The only option currently available, thanks to Apple's pigheadedness, is Windows DRM. So Mac users are being increasingly locked out of web services such as live broadcasts, radio stations etc. simply because we don't use Windows. Give the content providers another solution with Fairplay licensing and maybe Mac users won't get so marginalised.
They may not have noticed in Cupertino, but Windows DRM is locking people into Windows just as effectively as Fairplay is locking people into iPods. Apple are allowing Microsoft to get a foothold in a market that Apple should own by now.

Pop round to your local 2nd shop for lens, on ebay just now is a 18-55is + 100-300 usm for 160 the pair. Some of the older lens are horrid but there are also real gems out there. Just look for a lens and type out its name + review into google and see what people are saying about it.

I have the odd session of leaping around the living room with the kids on Adventures when I'm feeling energetic. They still play on Kinectimals too and love it. I have to say I'm quite interested in the PC drivers and SDK.
I went into GAME the other day and there really doesn't seem to be much more software available than there was at Xmas.
The Gunstringer (http://www.joystiq.com/2011/02/25/fifteen-minutes-of-the-gunstringers-gunslinging-gameplay/) looks rather good, so that'll be the next Kinect game I buy.

The once amusing macosrumors.com (http://www.macosrumors.com) say the same thing, they have been for a while. Let's wait and see. The MacBook modded tablet looks interesting, but I think it's going to be a lot of .

Probably need to mention whether it has a combo drive or superdrive.
Well the 2.0 mini only comes with a super drive. Sorry, thought that was a given.
edit: ^ yes it does.haha

Notice that he said FORMER as in no longer at Apple. IIRC, Steve Jobs hates slackers and fires them if their performance isn't good. Sounds about right for that story.

i keep getting a message that says iTunes 9 or above necessary for control panel to be installed. I have iTunes 9.1... oh well. generally speaking, so far MobileMe unimpressive, counterintuitive and seems almost un-Apple-like; I have to search for things that should already happen automatically. I dont know. I have a Mac, too; will probably have to figure it out thru that.
